Gene DescriptionSymbol: EGFPGene: enhanced green fluorescent protein Chromosome: 3 Background Strain: FVB Strain Development: This transgenic strain contains the enhanced green fluorescent protein gene under the control of the ROSA26 promotor. This strain was made by pronuclear injection into FVB embryos and has been maintained by mating carrier males to FVB females. Other Strain Names: R26-EGFP (1309-10 lineage) Summary of PhenotypeThe published phenotype of this mouse model consists of ubiquitous expression of the enhanced green fluorescent protein in embryos at the 4-cell stage of development or older and in parenchymal tissues of adult mice.Baseline phenotyping including gross and histomorphologic examination, hematology, clinical chemistry and behavioral analysis will be performed on this mouse strain in the near future. This baseline phenotype information will be posted on this website as it is completed. Literature Review
